Why Are Alterations Needed for Clothing?

Alterations are needed for clothing to give balance to uneven hems and busted seams.  With the talent of tailors and seamstress, a garment can now be mended, repaired or completely changed into something different, stylish or even something resembling the look created by a fashion designer.
